We are working with Chemung County and our local sports group to have a plan in place for our youth. The Town Hall is open for regular business and DPW continues working on our 2020 road program along with drainage projects. I have made a commitment to work with all local business to help them through the crisis. We have several new housing projects in the planning stages and commercial projects.

Over the next two weeks several decisions will be made about the summer Taffy program, sports programs and cuts to the town's budget. The first indication we have had as to taxes was the room tax for March which was down 59%. Along with lower gas prices and use, hotel rooms empty, restaurants with only take out, flights at the airport way down and many stores closed, we are expecting sales taxes to be down 50 to 60%, meaning loses to the town of $500,000 of dollars this year.
The town board meetings will be held the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 4:30PM via ZOOM will be post on the website until August 1st.
